Woman in Blue Reading a Letter
A “reading” of my favorite Vermeer painting.
She is the center, the focus of one’s attention, and the portal from which feelings travel. She performs the only action in the painting, drawing her arms close to her sides, holding and reading a letter that speaks of a matter close to her heart.

At First Sight
A “reading” of my favorite scene from Vertigo.
For a long moment, a block of blazing light falls with romantic affection upon her glowing face. A deep blushing red spills onto the scene, her expression almost inaccessible. Half-seen in profile, her beauty becomes absolutely transcendental: the notion of some infinitely gentle, infinitely mysterious things.

Wonton (Screenplay)
Father and son get together for lunch in a wonton shop after a few years of parting and surprisingly reveal the repressed memories that have troubled them all these years.
Small, dim. Muddy footprints on the cement floor. An old ceiling fan slowly spins. The shop looks like it has not been decorated in decades. The father and son enter. Mr. Hong looks around and smiles.

Roommates (Screenplay)
A love-struck couple moves into a studio apartment just before the COVID lockdown, only to discover that they are worlds apart. Confined in the small space, the couple struggles to cope with the quotidian tasks at home and becomes increasingly intolerant of each other. (This is a feature-length screenplay.)
